What is Pornhub?

Pornhub is a Canadian porn video sharing and internet porn site. Started in Montreal and has been providing professional and amateur pornography since 2007. Porn hub has offices and clients in San Francisco, Houston, New Orleans and London. The company was acquired in March 2010 by Manwin (now MindGeek), which has a large number of pornographic websites September 2021.

PornHub was started by web developer Matt Keyser as a site within the InterHub company and was launched on May 25, 2007. The company was purchased by Fabian Thielman in March 2010 as part of the Manwin Group of Companies. It is now called MindGeek. As part of MindGeek, Pornhub is one of the few porn sites on Pornhub’s “Pornhub NETWORK”, which features YouPorn, RedTube and the like. In June 2015, Pornhub announced that it was going to produce a pornographic film featuring real-life sex in space called Saxplorations. The site expected the film to be filmed in 2016, with pre- and post-production costs covered, but the Indiegogo Group had asked for $ 3.4 million. If funded, the film was scheduled to premiere in 2016, after six months of training for two actors and a crew of six.

On April 1, 2016, on April Fool’s Day, the website’s home page became Kornhub and featured videos of sweet corn with sexually appealing titles. In 2018, the front page became Hornhub.

In October 2017, Vice President Cory Price announced that Pornhub will use a combination of computer vision and artificial intelligence to detect and tag videos on the site, including information about actors and sexual acts. Price said the company plans to scan its entire library from early 2018.
